I’ve been it’s owner since almost 30 years!
Much rarer than the Z28, the 72 SS Big Block Camaro’s are in fact „ULTRA“ RARE !
Production of second Gen. Firebirds & Camaro’s (1970/1981) was over THREE MILLION ! But ONLY 4967 of them were TRUE Big Block cars !
(400 & 455 Pontiac Firebirds are NOT Big Block engines!)

This is a very early 72 model., built sept.71: no „fasten seatbelts“ warning light on the dashboard!

A SURE PROOF of authenticity, only starting since that model year, is the fifth digit of the VIN, visible through the windshield: It’s the engine identification code. This one has the correct „U“ : that’s stands for the SS 396 Big Block, LS3, which actually displaced 402CUI .
The RS „SPLIT BUMPER“ option combined with the SS 396 Big Block was definitely an „ultra“ rare combination for the second gen. Camaro: ONLY 161 such models were built that year!
You’re not gonna see another one like this one anytime soon!

The original buyer did not order air conditioning, but loaded the car with EVERY other option available, which makes it even more special! (One of the most noticeable option being the RS „split bumper“ nose of course, and all bumpers are also wearing the deluxe „VF3″ slender“cushions“! ).
It has the „Deluxe“ custom cloth interior, and optional „Wet look“ Vinyl roof, in very good condition, no rust hiding underneath!
This car was repainted, as you see it, with Z28 stripes back in 1992,…and paint is still in perfect condition! She is wearing „period correct“ aftermarket wheels, but her original beautiful Rally wheels are stored away and available too!
